			After two years since the publication of “…In Shrouds”, and after postponing the recording in two occasions, we have finally finished “Phrenelogy”, our new work. This time we had available the triple of budget than “…In Shrouds” and one more week for the recording, mixing and edition. It was recorded in March, 2004 in “Bonham” Studios at A Coruña, with José “Bonham” Martínez as technician, and produced bye himself and the own band. With “Phrenology” we pretended to show the evolution of the band’s style and sound since “…In Shrouds”; the contributions of the new members; and to transmit fairly a idea about the sound of the band in live. That’s why the sound has not been too much processed; musical arrangements are limited, and a few recordings of each track have been done. Instead of filling the songs with instrumental arrangements and tricks of production, we have recorded the tracks as we play it live, using the same material as in our performances. The exceptions are the voices, which realize several melodic lines that cannot be reproduce live, logically. “Phrenology” consists of six tracks, and include as novelty “Néboa”, a track in Galician, language in which Shroud of Tears will compose more songs on this new stage. In conclusion, we thing that it resolve the mistakes made in “…In Shrouds”, and collect the work and the experiences of this two years and it’s a good reflection of what the band offers nowadays.

			Shroud Of TearS' first work has been edited under the title "...in shrouds" and was recorded on 9th July of 2002 and mixed on 10th July of the same year in Estudios Bruar in A Coruña (Spain). Due to money matters the five themes were recorded in the same session. This work has been created hopefuly, but because of the lack of time the final result has not been the best we hoped, but that does not mean we are in discontemp, because it is a DemoCD and those who will listen to it can imagine the best we, Shroud of Tears, can do.
